Andrej Lazarov, a footballer from the Football Club Shkupi in Macedonia, lost his life in a fire while trying to help evacuate the building. The club expressed condolences to his family and described Lazarov as a hero who sacrificed his life trying to save others affected by the flames.

The player died from smoke inhalation while attempting to rescue people trapped in the fire in Kocan. The club's statement read: “He had a heroic spirit and lost his life trying to help others escape from the fire-ravaged place and was poisoned by smoke during his attempts to save others, showing courage and humanity until the last moment.”

Andrej Lazarov joined Club Shkupi six months ago, and his sudden departure is considered one of the greatest tragedies in the team's history. The 22-year-old player had previously played for Rabotnicki Skopje and HNK Gorica in Croatia.

In a terrible fire at a nightclub in Kocani, Macedonia, 59 people lost their lives, mostly young individuals, and 155 were injured. The Interior Minister confirmed that the fire was allegedly caused by pyrotechnics during a concert. This tragic event occurred at the 'Pulse' nightclub, which had around 500 people in a space meant for only 250.

The Government of North Macedonia has taken action, arresting individuals involved in the forgery of the nightclub's license. The Macedonian Prime Minister assured that detailed inspections will be carried out in all nightlife venues across the country to prevent future tragedies.
